چکیده

Changes in the quota between conventional generation and renewable energy sources constitute major challenges that modern power systems have to encounter. Conventional plants are replaced by (e.g. wind turbines, photovoltaics) contribute reduction of system inertia. This may introduce frequency stability issues because is affected amount inertia, along with response controllable reserves imbalance. Therefore, estimation analysis inertia assessment essential ensure security. paper proposes a novel method estimates constant for three different periods future, namely, 2025, 2035 2050 based on produced future scenarios (FES) Rwandan's system. In addition, evaluates dynamics each scenario. Results show highest progression resources penetration resulted larger (from 7.2 control area 1 3.83s 3) largest drop was observed during high scenario year where PV imported expected reach more than 30% total installed capacity.

Measurement-based correlation approach for power system dynamic response estimation

Understanding power system dynamics is essential for online stability assessment and control applications. Global positioning system-synchronised phasor measurement units and frequency disturbance recorders (FDRs) make power system dynamics visible and deliver an accurate picture of the overall operation condition to system operators. However, in the actual field implementations, some measureme...

A Multiband Multiple-input Multiple-output Antenna System for Long Term Evolution and Wireless Local Area Networks Handsets

A novel multiband multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna system is proposed. The MIMO antenna system consists of two antenna elements, each of which comprises of three radiators: a driven monopole, an S-shaped strip and an inverted F-shaped strip and occupies footprint of 15x18.5x0.8 mm3 only. The driven monopole acts as a quarter-wave monopole and stimulate higher mode resonance. The tw...

Modern power system frequency response evaluation with virtual power plant penetration

New power systems based on VPP will be expanded in the future and analysis of the frequency behavior of these systems compared to current systems in the field of disruptions will be one of the most important issues of the system operators. In this paper, the equations of the frequency response model of conventional power system are expanded by considering the VPP's and their effective component...

Frequency Estimation of Unbalanced Three-Phase Power System using a New LMS Algorithm

This paper presents a simple and easy implementable Least Mean Square (LMS) type approach for frequency estimation of three phase power system in an unbalanced condition. The proposed LMS type algorithm is based on a second order recursion for the complex voltage derived from Clarke's transformation which is proved in the paper. The proposed algorithm is real adaptive filter with real parameter...
